Dublin Painter’s secret of speed AND precise painting

When it comes to painting we all know how strenuous a task it can be. A lot of patience is required to complete monotonous strokes for hours on end while making sure you avoid making any mistakes.

Professional painting contractors should all be skilled in finishing this task as efficiently as possible without any struggles. It is all about the preparation; the equipment you bring with you, the suitable materials, discussions with the homeowner on the design, how much help you have, etc. There are also some tricks that you can pick up throughout your career as a contractor which can help to achieve results faster while remaining accurate.

Technique

Using long strokes, going over each area twice and avoiding the corners enables you to complete the majority of your paint task in record time. For corners some tape and a hand brush will allow you to negate perfect lines. Prior to this any cracks will need to be filled in. It is always smart to just caulk every hole and not spend time thinking about it. Sanding may also be required if there are raised bumps. You can incorporate your cleansing of the surface with this chore by purchasing a liquid sander that combines the two things.

Tools

Rollers are always advisable as they cover more surface area and require less physical exertion. You can also purchase larger ones for covering more surface area. If cost isn’t a concern then there are certain pieces of equipment that excel at providing long lasting effective painting results such as glazing putty, a liquid sander, fine hand brushes, sharp scrapers, a caulk gun, multi-purpose knife and most importantly suitable paint for the area in question.

Clean-up

Line the floor with plastic covering and remove all furniture from the room if possible. Instead of using paint trays you can use pails which are easier to carry, hold more volume and create less spillage. For your own protection wear coveralls and masks to avoid any accidents. The less mess created the quicker the job can be completed.

Painting can be a disturbance to living arrangements and everyday chores for families so it is important to finish a job as quickly as possible. However, this does not mean sacrificing on quality it merely means taking your time and using the proper techniques and equipment so that you do not have to go over any substandard parts. Once you have mastered the fine balance between speed and precision you will find painting a walk in the park.
